No próximo dia 25 comemora-se o Dia Nacional da Adoção. Dados do Cadastro Nacional de Adoção (CNA), mostram que atualmente existem 45.991 pessoas interessadas em adotar e 9.524 crianças e adolescentes aptos para ser adotados. No entanto, cerca de 47 mil crianças e adolescentes ainda estão com situação indefinida e inseridas em programas de acolhimento institucional.

Governo vai lançar campanha de incentivo à adoção tardia
O governo deve lançar, até o segundo semestre, uma campanha de incentivo à adoção de crianças e adolescentes, com foco na adoção tardia e estuda mandar para o Congresso um projeto de lei para promover mudanças na Lei da Adoção.
A lei de adoção atual sofreu modificações em 2017, mas ainda é
considerada pelo governo como burocrática e lenta.
De
acordo com o CNJ, a demora no procedimento de adoção se deve, em boa parte, ao
perfil indicado pelos adotantes: crianças recém-nascidas, com um, dois ou três
anos de idade e brancas. Os números do cadastro mostram que 14,74% do
pretendentes aceitam somente crianças brancas, outros 61,95% não aceitam adotar
irmãos. Os números do CNJ mostram ainda que 61,95% das crianças que estão em
abrigos são pardas e negras; 73,48%, tem mais de 5 anos; 25,68% tem algum tipo
de deficiência ou doença crônica; e 55,46% tem irmãos ou irmãs.
