47 aeronaves são apreendidas em operação contra tráfico internacional de drogas

Policiais têm 55 mandados de prisão contra suspeitos de transportar drogas para o Brasil, os EUA e a Europa. Em 2 anos, grupo transportou ao menos 9 toneladas de cocaína.

A Polícia Federal prendeu 26 pessoas na manhã desta quinta-feira (21), em uma operação contra uma quadrilha especializada em transportar drogas da Colômbia e da Venezuela para o Brasil, Estados Unidos e Europa. Ao todo, agentes cumprem 55 mandados de prisão contra envolvidos no esquema. Além das prisões, a PF tenta apreender 47 aeronaves usadas pela quadrilha.

João Soares Rocha, apontado como chefe da quadrilha, foi preso em Tucumã, no Pará. Aeronaves já foram apreendidas pela PF, mas um balanço de apreensões não havia sido divulgado até a última atualização desta reportagem.

O advogado de João Soares afirmou que não teve acesso ao processo e que não vai se pronunciar até que o cliente desembarque em Palmas.

Segundo a investigação, a quadrilha transportou mais de 9 toneladas de cocaína entre 2017 e 2018, em 23 voos que carregavam 400 quilos da droga, em média, cada um.

Números da operação até as 11h:

  • 26 prisões;
  • 18 mandados de busca cumpridos;

Além de pilotos, a organização contava com mecânicos que adulteravam as aeronaves para aumentar a autonomia dos voos e ocultar o prefixo original dos aparelhos, para despistar as autoridades. O grupo usava Palmas e Porto Nacional, no Tocantins, como pontos de apoio.

As investigações indicam que a rota do transporte de drogas passava pelos países produtores (Colômbia, Bolívia), países intermediários (Venezuela, Honduras, Suriname e Guatemala) e países destinatários (Brasil, Estados Unidos e União Europeia).

A operação envolve 400 policiais e conta com o apoio da Força Aérea Brasileira (FAB) e do Grupamento de Rádio Patrulha Aérea da Polícia Militar de Goiás. Os mandados foram expedidos pelo juiz federal Pedro Felipe de Oliveira Santos, da 4ª Vara de Palmas. As investigações também tiveram apoio da agência americana DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) e da agência surinamesa CTIU (CounterTerrorism Intelligence Unit).

Os mandados são cumpridos no Ceará, no Distrito Federal, em Goiás, no Pará, no Paraná, em Roraima, em São Paulo e no Tocantins. Além da apreensão das aeronaves, o juiz determinou o sequestro de 13 fazendas e de cerca de 10 mil cabeças de gado.

O esquema

As investigações da Polícia Federal apontam que o grupo agia dividido em quatro núcleos. O primeiro era comandado por João Soares Rocha e tinha a função de gerenciar as operações de transporte e de distribuição de cocaína. Eles eram responsáveis pela comunicação com produtores e varejistas do tráfico, organização do transporte aéreo, recrutamento de pilotos e mecânicos para tarefas operacionais, definição das estratégias de fuga, seleção das pistas de pouso e pontos de apoio, além de outras funções gerenciais.

O segundo núcleo era composto de pilotos e ajudantes que prestam serviços regulares ao núcleo empresarial. Eles eram responsáveis pela condução das aeronaves adulteradas com drogas e dinheiro, além da elaboração de planos de voos irregulares, mapeando rotas para escapar do controle aeronáutico.

Mecânicos que adulteravam a estrutura dos aviões para prolongar a autonomia do voo integravam o terceiro núcleo. Eles também faziam manutenção das aeronaves e adulteravam os prefixos.

Os produtores ou compradores de cocaína, que contratam os serviços do núcleo logístico para o transporte e a distribuição da droga, são apontados pela PF como quarto núcleo.
