Idosos pobres nascidos de janeiro a março ganham prazo para cadastro do BPC

Os idosos e deficientes de baixa renda que recebem o BPC (Benefício de Prestação Continuada) e fazem aniversário entre janeiro e março terão mais tempo para fazer a inscrição no CadÚnico (Cadastro Único para Programas Sociais).

O prazo terminaria no domingo (31), mas segundo o Ministério da Cidadania, um novo calendário de suspensão será divulgado em breve, e até lá os benefícios não deixarão de ser pagos.

O Ministério afirma que isso não quer dizer que os beneficiários não precisam mais se inscrever no CadÚnico. O procedimento continua obrigatório, e apenas foi dado um tempo extra para quem ainda não fez o cadastro.

No final do ano passado, o governo havia divulgado um calendário de suspensão do BPC dividido por lotes. Os nascidos entre janeiro e março que não fizessem a inscrição no CadÚnico até o dia 31 deste mês eram os primeiros a terem o benefício bloqueado.

Para os nascidos de abril em diante, o prazo era maior. Agora, até que as novas datas sejam publicadas, os benefícios não serão suspensos.

Como fazer a inscrição no CadÚnico

O cadastramento deve ser feito nos Cras (Centros de Referência da Assistência Social) ou nas secretarias de assistência social dos municípios.

A inscrição também pode ser feita por outra pessoa que more na mesma casa do beneficiário do BPC, desde que leve os documentos de todos que residem com ele.

No CadÚnico ficam registradas informações como características da casa do beneficiário, a identificação e a escolaridade de cada pessoa que mora no local e a situação de trabalho e renda, por exemplo. É obrigatório informar o número do CPF de todos os integrantes da família.

Segundo o Ministério, para facilitar o cadastramento, a recomendação é levar também um comprovante de residência, bem como documentos pessoais de cada morador da casa.

O que acontece se não fizer a inscrição no CadÚnico

Mais de 1,1 milhão de beneficiários ainda não fizeram o cadastro, segundo o Ministério da Cidadania. Se não fizer a inscrição, o benefício será bloqueado. A forma de bloqueio e as novas datas para a suspensão ainda precisam ser divulgadas pelo governo.

Quem tem direito ao BPC

O BPC é um benefício assistencial da Lei Orgânica da Assistência Social para pessoas de baixa renda. Têm direito:

  • Idosos: com 65 anos ou mais
  • Pessoa com deficiência: qualquer idade.

É preciso comprovar impedimentos de, no mínimo, dois anos de natureza física, mental, intelectual ou sensorial

A renda por pessoa da família (do idoso ou do deficiente) deve ser menor do que um quarto do salário mínimo vigente (R$ 249,50, em 2019). É preciso ter residência fixa no Brasil.

Por se tratar de um benefício assistencial, não é necessário ter contribuído ao INSS (Instituto Nacional do Seguro Social) para ter direito. Porém, o segurado não recebe o 13º salário e não deixa pensão por morte.

Qual o valor do benefício?

Um salário mínimo (R$ 998, em 2019).
