O Administração Municipal de Orlândia (2017/2020), continua realizando um grande investimento na infraestrutura do departamento de água e esgoto da cidade. Com verbas conquistadas junto a FUNASA, por intermédio do deputado Marco Feliciano, estão sendo trocadas as adutoras, responsáveis pela rede de distribuição de água da cidade. Ocorrendo a substituição dos antigos canos de ferro por canos PEAD.
O serviço está em sua fase final, podendo ser visto pela população na Avenida 7, entre a Rua 4 até a Rua 18 e da Rua 18 até a Avenida 9, na “Caixa Torre”. Tão logo a troca seja finalizada, os locais onde o asfalto precisou ser cortado, para passagem dos canos, serão novamente asfaltados.
O local onde os serviços estão sendo realizados é conhecido pelos constantes vazamentos, sempre sendo necessário abrir o asfalto para os consertos. Esta troca irá diminuir consideravelmente estes vazamentos e também a perda de água na cidade, devido a alta qualidade do material.
“Embora saibamos que para solucionar este problema de abastecimento de água em nossa cidade, é fundamental que consigamos realizar a concessão, onde haverá um grande investimento no departamento (mais de R$ 100 milhões), não estamos deixando de investir no setor, prova disso é este serviço na Avenida 7, mais de 1 quilômetro de novas adutoras, cerca de 2 milhões de reais investidos”, destacou o prefeito Vado.

O mesmo serviço realizado agora na Avenida 7, no centro, foi realizado também na Rua 10, entre a Av. 4 e Av. J e na Avenida 5 entre as Ruas 1 e 10.
A verba destinada para trocas destas adutoras, no valor de R$ 6 milhões, tiveram grande parte de sua execução na atual Administração, onde dois terços do serviços, cerca de R$ 4 milhões, foram e estão sendo realizados.
