Depois de uma longa coletiva de imprensa feita para divulgar a situação financeira de Ribeirão Preto, o prefeito Duarte Nogueira (PSDB) anunciou nesta segunda-feira (8) que o funcionalismo da cidade não terá o aumento de 5,48%, proposto pelo Sindicato dos Servidores Municipais. A medida reforça a decisão da categoria em paralisar as atividades, a partir desta quarta-feira (10).
Entre muitos outros argumentos, o chefe do Executivo alegou que o rombo no IPM ( Instituto Previdenciário do Municipiário), responsável pelo pagamento de servidores aposentados, é o principal causador da situação.
Dados apresentados durante o encontro mostraram que, atualmente, os gastos do governo com salários, incluindo os do IPM, chegam a casa dos 55,8%. O problema é que esse número não poderia passar do 54%, segundo a Lei de Responsabilidade Fiscal.
Em outubro do ano passado, Nogueira e os secretários da área financeira chegaram a fazer uma coletiva parecida. À época, eles disseram que pretendiam fazer cortes de gastos para conseguir arcar com as despesas do instituto.
Além desse ponto, a balança orçamentária da cidade também foi citada. Em um dos momentos, o secretário da Fazenda, Manoel Gonçalves, disse que Ribeirão até teve um aumento de 2,46% na arrecadação de 2018. No entanto, segundo ele, as despesas subiram 2,98%. Dessa forma, a conta não fecha.
Ao fim, o prefeito afirmou que não tem como atuar fora da Lei de Responsabilidade Fiscal e que, caso a Justiça entre na história, deixará para que o magistrado decida o que deve ser feito.
