Um casal foi preso e 20 kg de maconha foram apreendidos em uma operação policial em Pratápolis (MG) nesta quinta-feira (21). O homem foi detido enquanto transportava, em uma caminhonete, 19 tabletes de maconha, com mais de 1 kg cada. A esposa dele foi presa posteriormente na casa em que eles moram.
De acordo com a Polícia Militar, operação foi realizada após denúncias anônimas de que dois veículos traziam drogas de Ribeirão Preto, no interior de São Paulo, para o Sul de Minas. Com apoio de equipes da polícia de Poços de Caldas (MG), os militares de Passos (MG) montaram um cerco e bloqueio na entrada de Pratápolis.
No entanto, como os suspeitos estavam em dois veículos, um com as drogas e outro para verificar a chegada da polícia, o que estava no carro de apoio conseguiu fugir. Mas na caminhonete dirigida pelo homem, foram encontrados os 19 tabletes de maconha, dentro de um saco escondido na caçamba do veículo.
Os policiais seguiram até a casa dele, onde havia mais uma porção de maconha e uma balança de precisão. A mulher do suspeito, que estava na casa, também foi presa. O casal e a droga apreendida foram encaminhados para delegacia de Passos.
