Durante o Jornal Orlândia do Povo desta quinta – feira (27), Gustavo Zordan – Secretário de Meio Ambiente de Orlândia, concedeu uma entrevista ao vivo, orientando a população em relação a podas em árvores.
De acordo com Zordan, existem técnicas e procedimentos adequados para a poda de árvores, arbustos e outras plantas lenhosas em áreas urbanas, baseadas em lei municipal e o descumprimento da mesma, pode até ser caracterizado como crime ambiental, acarretando em penalidades . Zordan destacou ainda que, além da pode ser realizada de modo que não agrida a árvore, o descarte do resíduo vegetal ocasionado pela poda , também é de responsabilidade do dono da casa onde ela se encontra.
“Não adianta fazer a poda e descartar os galhos no meio do canteiro.É preciso destinar corretamente esses resíduos.” – Zordan
Durante a entrevista, o secretário de Meio Ambiente falou ainda sobre
Durante a entrevista, Gustavo falou ainda,sobre outro assunto que já começa a preocupar alguns moradores da cidade; as queimadas.
Com a aproximação do período de clima seco, a quantidade de incêndios e queimadas em terrenos aumenta consideravelmente, e com isso, além da sujeira provocada pelas fuligens da queima, casos de problemas respiratórios também alcançam níveis preocupantes.
Sobre esse tema , o secretário destacou o papel da Secretaria do Meio Ambiente :
“A Secretaria do Meio Ambiente serve para fiscalizar e orientar. Não é a intenção da Secretaria multar , mas é preciso que todos tenham a consciência de manterem seus terrenos limpos. ” – Zordan
Vale destacar que atear fogo em terrenos baldios é crime ambiental e o cidadão que flagrar alguém ateando fogo em terreno baldio deve acionar imediatamente a Fiscalização Municipal através do 3820-8226, de segunda à sexta-feira, das 08h às 17h. Caso a prática seja realizada fora destes dias ou horários, a denúncia também poderá ser feita posteriormente.
