O
tenente-coronel do Exército Brasileiro Alexandre de Almeida foi preso em
flagrante na terça-feira (23) por suspeita de desviar armas para clubes de
tiro. O oficial era responsável pela fiscalização do armamento no Rio de
Janeiro e Espírito Santo.
Um Inquérito Policial Militar (IPM) foi aberto para investigar o caso. A prisão foi confirmada pelo Comando Militar do Leste e pelo Centro de Comunicação Social do Exército nesta quinta-feira (25).
Clube de tiro em Serra, no Espírito Santo
Almeida
tinha a obrigação de fiscalizar a importação e o comércio dessas armas para
civis, o funcionamento de clubes de tiros, a venda de explosivos, a blindagem
de veículos, além da atuação de caçadores, atiradores e colecionadores.
A
página do Exército na internet mostra que, em janeiro do ano passado, o
tenente-coronel Alexandre de Almeida foi homenageado pela Confederação
Brasileira de Tiro Esportivo “pelos relevantes serviços prestados a
atletas e praticantes de tiro esportivo”.
Armas repassadas no
Espírito Santo
A notícia do Inquérito Policial Militar instaurado pelo Exército foi publicada pelo jornal O Globo.
Segundo o jornal, as armas desviadas
pelo tenente-coronel Almeida eram repassadas para a Guerreiros Escola de Tiro e
Comércio de Armas, na cidade de Serra, no Espírito Santo.
A investigação começou a partir da
aposentadoria de um coronel. Ao passar para a reserva, ele entregou sua arma,
uma pistola 9 milímetros, para o serviço de produtos controlados, comandado
pelo tenente-coronel Almeida.
Em dezembro do ano passado, o oficial
aposentado ficou sabendo que a arma tinha sido desviada para o clube de tiro do
Espírito Santo.
Busca e apreensão
Militares fizeram
uma busca no clube de tiro e apreenderam cinco armas com a inscrição do
Exército. E investigam o possível desvio de outras armas para o clube.
Leonardo Loureiro, sócio e irmão do
dono do clube de tiro, disse que armas foram negociadas diretamente com o
tenente-coronel Alexandre de Almeida, em três lotes.
Loureiro afirmou também que o oficial
afirmou que essas armas pertenciam a um colecionador, muito doente, e que a
família quis se desfazer da coleção.
Golpe
Armas no clube de tiro de Serra, no Espírito Santo
Sócio da Guerreiros Escola de Tiro e Comércio de Armas, Leonardo Souza, disse em entrevista à TV Gazeta como a empresa adquiriu as armas e alegou ter sido vítima de um golpe.
“A
Guerreiros comprou essas armas legais, elas estão legalizadas e documentadas.
São armas históricas, de coleção, a maioria delas não funciona. Elas têm 50,
100, 200 anos. Só 10% dessas armas funcionam.”
Segundo
o empresário, ele e a família conheceram o tenente-coronel durante
fiscalizações na loja e se tornaram amigos dele.
Na
venda das armas, Alexandre de Almeida se ofereceu para ser intermediário na
compra. Elas foram compradas em três lotes, por R$ 90 mil, e parceladas em 12
vezes.
“Ele
perguntou se a gente tinha interesse, e disse para ficar tranquilo que ele
faria todo o processo de registro. E assim foi feito, as armas estão
documentadas na empresa.”
