Sinal analógico será desligado às 23h59 desta quarta-feira (21) em 45 cidades da região de Ribeirão Preto. Telespectadores vão precisar fazer busca de canais para sintonizar a EPTV.
EPTV, afiliada da TV Globo, disponibilizou um canal de comunicação para que telespectadores possam tirar dúvidas sobre o desligamento do sinal analógico na região de Ribeirão Preto. O telefone é o (16) 3601-3433.
Ao todo, 45 municípios entrarão definitivamente na era digital à zero hora desta quinta-feira (22). O desligamento do sinal analógico é uma determinação do Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia, Inovações e Comunicações e da Anatel.
Na mesma data, a EPTV vai aproveitar para colocar em funcionamento transmissores mais modernos, que permitirão a entrega de um sinal mais potente aos municípios de Ribeirão Preto, Jardinópolis, Brodowski, Sales Oliveira e Serrana.
Por causa desta mudança, o sinal da EPTV pode sumir da programação das TVs. Para reabilitá-lo, é necessário fazer apenas uma busca de canais no próprio aparelho de TV ou no conversor digital no caso dos televisores mais antigos.

Além da qualidade de som e imagem superiores, a TV digital acaba com fantasmas, ruídos e interferências que existiam na TV analógica. Ela também possibilita a transmissão de programas em alta definição (HDTV) com o aspecto de tela 16:9 (ou widescreen), igual ao cinema, e capacidade de áudio de 5.1 canais. A interatividade é outro aspecto inovador da TV digital.
