A Polícia Militar conseguiu resgatar as sete pessoas que estavam reféns de bandidos que provocaram momentos de terror em Uberaba, na madrugada e na manhã desta quinta-feira (27).
Ao todo, os policiais conseguiram prender 10 bandidos. Os reféns eram duas crianças, uma mulher e quatro homens. Os criminosos tomaram um caminhão que transportava trabalhadores para uma fazenda da região. O veículo foi cercado pelos policiais no km 765 da BR 262, entre Uberaba e Araxá.Por volta das 10h30, depois de aproximadamente duas horas de negociação com os agentes, os criminosos decidiram liberar os reféns. Apesar das 10 prisões, as buscas por outros criminosos continuam. A suspeita é de que haja outros criminosos escondidos dentro da mata, já que uma caminhonete Saveiro com marcas de sangue foi localizada próxima ao caminhão. Os policiais acreditam que a quadrilha seja composta de 20 pessoas.Dentro do caminhão, os policiais também encontraram armamento pesado, com várias munições e coletes à prova de bala.
Por volta das 4h desta quinta-feira, uma quadrilha fortemente armada explodiu uma agência do Banco do Brasil, na Avenida Leopoldino de Oliveira. A explosão foi ouvida na região e alertou os policiais, que entraram em combate com os bandidos.Durante a perseguição, os marginais chegaram a usar um caminhão para bloquear o trânsito no entorno do local atacado e impedir o acesso dos agentes. Devido à troca de tiros, duas pessoas ainda não identificadas ficaram feridas.De acordo com a Polícia Militar, uma mulher está gravemente ferida e passa por cirurgia no Hospital Escola da Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM). O outra vítima é um homem que ficou ferido, após estilhaços atingirem seu pé. Apesar dos ferimentos, ele passa bem.
