Usinas do Centro-Sul estimam prejuízo de R$ 1,2 bilhão com greve dos caminhoneiros

De acordo com a Unica, unidades deixaram de moer 13 milhões de toneladas de cana no período da paralisação. Processamento e venda de etanol e açúcar fecharam 2ª quinzena de maio em queda.

As usinas do setor sucroenergético da região Centro-Sul tiveram um prejuízo de R$ 1,2 bilhão em função da paralisação dos caminhoneiros, aponta um relatório divulgado esta semana pela União da Indústria de Cana de Açúcar (Unica).

O valor corresponde ao quanto o segmento deixou de ganhar com a comercialização de açúcar e etanol. No período, também foi registrada queda de produção em derivados.

Para se ter uma ideia do impacto, as usinas calculam ter vendido 45,87% menos açúcar para o exterior em relação às últimas três safras, um total de 703,68 mil toneladas diante de 1,3 milhão esperado para a última quinzena do mês.

O volume de etanol hidratado comercializado pelas unidades do Centro-Sul, até então com recorrentes altas, registrou queda de 6,15% no final de maio, com 564,45 milhões de litros contra 601,47 milhões de litros vendidos no mesmo período do ano passado. Em relação à primeira quinzena do mês passado, a queda foi ainda maior, de 25,73%.

A margem de vendas do etanol anidro – misturado à gasolina – foi inferior à metade registrada um ano antes, com 226,95 milhões de litros.

Perda de produção

Segundo a Unica, as usinas do Centro-Sul processaram 32,38 milhões de toneladas de cana, 2,18% a mais na comparação com o mesmo período da safra anterior, mas 13 milhões a menos do que o esperado, o que equivale a uma perda de mais de quatro dias de moagem, de acordo com os cálculos. Em estados como o Paraná, o prejuízo é equiparado a dez dias de produção.

De acordo com a instituição, isso ocorreu em função da falta de diesel para manter as operações.

Foi esse o motivo que levou à paralisação das 27 usinas da região de Ribeirão Preto (SP), que respondem por 26% da fabricação de açúcar e etanol de São Paulo, 15,6% do Centro-Sul e 14,4% da nacional, segundo o Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (Mapa).

A greve representou uma retração de 30% na produção de açúcar entre a primeira quinzena de maio – com 1,91 milhão de toneladas – e a segunda – com 1,34 milhão, resultado em uma redução de 4% no acumulado do ano.

No mesmo período, etanol hidratado e anidro tiveram baixas entre 15,46% e 16,95%, mas se mantiveram em alta na comparação acumulada anual.

Safra 2018/2019

Os resultados apresentados até o final de maio mantêm as projeções iniciais do setor a respeito de uma safra mais voltada à produção de etanol do que de açúcar para este ano, com uma proporção de 65,4% da cana para o primeiro e de 34,5% para o segundo.

No acumulado desde o início do ciclo, entre abril e 1º de junho, a moagem de cana mantém alta de 20,17%, com 134,8 milhões de toneladas, assim como o rendimento médio da colheita, 0,9% maior que em 2017, com 82,77 toneladas de cana por hectare.
